English Tea No. 1 Tea Caddy - Loose Leaf

Our English Tea No.1 is a unique blend of elegant black teas with a subtle hint of bergamot. A delightfully balanced cuppa, it’s perfect for those seeking a more genteel approach to classic British tea.

Our Tea Masters combine Ceylon, Kenyan and Assam teas to create this blend. They use a high proportion of Ceylon from Sri Lanka’s hilly central tea gardens, where the finest and most delicate teas come from. This gives the blend its brisk, lively quality, which we enhance with a touch of our signature bergamot flavouring. Distinctive yet delicately fragrant, our English Tea No. 1 makes a delightfully uplifting brew. Serve with a splash of milk or enjoy with lemon to bring out the tea’s citrusy notes.

We chose William Lionel Wyllie’s colourful painting "Opening of Tower Bridge" for the design of the caddy/packet. A scene that celebrates British excellence seemed appropriate.

Delicious!

Really enjoy this lovely English Tea, although I am not a big fan of flavoured teas, but this is simply gorgeous! For anyone who is like me and does not like to much of bergamot, this is the right choice: the black tea is not too strong, a little touch of flavour - exactly the right amount - , nice colour, perfect choice for any time of the day.

I've been starting my morning with a mug of this tea for more than 10 years. I take it black and without sugar not to ruin its lovely taste and colour. The best thing about this blend to me is its delicate bergamot flavour. It's not as strong as in Earl Grey but just a hint. I'm talking about the loose version of the tea, never tried it in teabags. My online shopping experience was absolutely satisfactory. The delivery was fast. The staff were very helpful when I needed to correct my mistake in the delivery address after I placed the order. I'll be buying my tea from this website again.

Each and every morning, my favourite cup of tea would be English Breakfast. It’s strong, it’s coloury, it’s got a wonderful nutty flavour that I really do enjoy, and it takes the milk well.
